  • A whole new way of trading ETFs

ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) are a great tool for spreading risk and reaching otherwise hard-to-reach markets or geographies with a cost-effective and flexible solution.

The growth of ETFs in the last 10 years has been phenomenal; and, assets under management could double by the end of 2015 from $1.5 trillion USD to 4.7 trillion by the end of 2015 according to a report carried out by McKinsey & Co*.

Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) aim to reflect the performance of global stock indices, bonds, sectors, commodities and other asset types.

Trade ETFs with a market leader

Saxo Bank offers more than 1,500 individual ETFs/ETCs from the most traded issuers. Of these, more than 450 are available for trading as a CFD.

Trading ETFs as CFDs delivers several advantages:

  • Trade ETFs on margin.
  • Gain the ability to short sell the ETF if you believe the price will fall.

Full price transparency

As with regular stocks, when trading ETFs as CFDs with Saxo Bank, you trade on the actual prices from the exchange (Live prices upon subscription).

Product Risk

Danish banks are required to categorise investment products offered to retail clients depending on the product’s complexity and risk as: green, yellow or red.

A CFD is categorised as a red product as it is considered an investment product with a high complexity and a high risk. See also the 'Product Risk Categorisation' located under our General Business Terms.
