Stocks on the Tokyo Stock Exchange

Saxo Bank is pleased to announce the launch of cash stocks on the Tokyo Stock Exchange enabled for trading from 4th July. Cash stocks trading will supplement the CFD trading already available on this exchange.  Please note that stock trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange will be available to non-Japan residents only.

Stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange

Saxo Bank is pleased to announce the launch of cash Stocks on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in Poland enabled for trading from the 15th of September. Cash Stocks trading will supplement the CFD trading already available on this exchange. The addition of this exchange expands Stock offering at Saxo Bank to no less than 26 Stock Exchanges.

Reuse of Stock collateral for other investments

Saxo Bank allows a percentage of the collateral invested in certain stocks to be used for margin trading activities (Forex and CFD trading).

EQUITY RE-RATING FOR STOCKS AND CFDs FROM MONDAY 12TH DECEMBER

Please note that due to the current market conditions, over the weekend of the 10th -11th December with effect from when the market opens on Monday, 12th December, Saxo Bank will increase the ratings of 700 Stocks and CFDs so that:

  • Less of the Stock’s value can be used as collateral for margin trading
  • Trading the CFD will require more margin

Saxo Bank will also decrease the ratings of 145 Stocks and CFDs so that:

  • More of a Stock’s value can be used as collateral for margin trading
  • Trading the CFD will require less margin.

The percentage of the collateral that can be used for each Stock and CFD is listed in the table below.

Minimum order values

Minimum order values apply for stock and CFD trades on all markets. Clients are not able to open new positions via the trading platform below the minimum value. The minimum order value for each market is listed in the table below. Should clients need to close an existing position below the minimum value, they can do this via the phone or the chat system on the trading platform.
